Notice is hereby given that a Meeting of the Parish Council will be held

on Monday June 7th 2010

at 7.15 in the Village Hall.

AGENDA

1. Apologies for absence: To receive apologies for absence.

2. Declarations of Interest: In accordance with the Local Government Act 2000, s81 and the Parish Councils (Model code of Conduct) Order 2001, members are asked to declare any personal interest and the nature of that interest which they may have in any of the items under consideration at this meeting (Please refer to the notes at the end of agenda)

3. Public questions and statements: Time is available for the public to express a view or ask a question on relevant matters on the following agenda. The public are welcome to stay and observe the rest of the meeting. Members of the public wishing to speak should notify the Clerk in advance.

4. Play Area: To hear reports on progress and resolve to submit a planning application. To consider quotes for the preparation of a lease.

5. Minutes of the last meeting: To authorise the signing of the minutes of the 4th May meeting as a true record.

7. Adoption of Standing Orders and Policies: To agree a date for an Extraordinary meeting of the council to review and adopt new Standing Orders and policies (deferred from April).

8. Northmoor Lock works: To report on meetings and actions to date.

9. New Waste Collection Services: To hear details of the new arrangements from October 2010.

10. Village Hall: To discuss the use of the doctor’s surgery as a chiropractic clinic.

11. Village Pond Area: To receive quotes for fencing.

12. Community Plan: To hear reports.

To raise matters for discussion without decision or items for the next agenda

18. Date of the next meeting: To confirm that the next meeting of the Parish Council is to be held on Monday 5th July 2010 at 7.15 pm in the Village Hall.

Notes on Declaration of Interest:

(i) Any councillor arriving after the start of the meeting is asked to declare personal interests as necessary as soon as practicable after their arrival even if the item in question has been considered;

(ii) If a councillor has a prejudicial interest in a matter being discussed at the meeting they must declare this as soon as that interest becomes apparent to them. They should then leave the room, unless members of the public are allowed to make representations, give evidence or answer questions about the matter, by statutory right or otherwise. They must immediately leave the room once they have finished or when the meeting decides that they have finished (if that is earlier). They cannot remain in the room to observe the vote on the matter.

(iii) It is not practical to offer detailed advice during the meeting on whether or not a personal interest should be declared, or whether a personal interest should also be regarded as prejudicial.
