Cold Weather Group

A Village Emergency Plan - Cold Weather

Many parishioners will know about the Appleton Flood Group. The Parish Council is now attempting to set up a Cold Weather Group to assist with the various adverse effects of very cold weather – such as icy footpaths, being cut off by snow, frozen pipes, etc.

Unlike flooding, severe cold weather will affect the whole community – particularly the more vulnerable . We need as many volunteers as possible (even if only to give advice) to be involved in setting up the group and contributing action when the weather turns wintry.

Will you join us? The next meeting will take place in The Plough at 7:30pm on Monday the 16th January 2012 Do come along.
