Flood planning
AQUASACS
The Parish Council has recently been getting in touch with householders in Appleton and Eaton who were affected by the storms and floods in July 2007, to offer them a supply of aquasacs to store at their property. These are a compact alternative to sandbags, easy to store, and which inflate when immersed in water, allowing a protective flood barrier to be built up quickly to protect doorways and airbricks. If you were affected by the floods and we have inadvertently missed contacting you please get in
touch, either via the Parish Council or telephone Sanchia Prickett on 01865863168.
APOLOGIES
To those of you already contacted, there has been a delay in supply. We will issue notices as soon as they are in stock, hopefully by the end of next week.
We will also be sending out a general update in the near future regarding the progress made regarding flood protection and prevention in the village.
