Oxford to and from London

There are two coach services to and from London. Typically the adult return price is £16 (day/ next day return and slightly concessionary prices for seniors and children) and the frequency of both services is about every 15 minutes through the day. Both services collect and drop at Gloucester Green with various stops in and out of Oxford City with Thornhill Park and Ride (near Sandhills and beside the A40 on the London side of Oxford (free parking for up to 72 hours).

Oxford espress

Operated by the Oxford Bus Company owned by the Go-Ahead Group

Staring and ending its journey at Gloucester Green, it has a number of stops in Oxford and then has a direct journey from Thornhill Park and Ride to Hillingdon and then via Marylebone Road to Victoria Bus Station via Marble Arch. see the link Espress service to London

From Tuesday 1st November 2011, concessionary fares for senior and disabled passengers will change for the airline services to Heathrow & Gatwick airports, and the Oxford espress to London. The revision is due to the withdrawal of government subsidy on concessionary coach fares. Despite this, we will continue to offer discounted fares to the elderly and disabled but will be altering the fares for our coach services as follows:

Only passengers in possession of an English National Concessionary Travel pass or those carrying proof of age showing 60 or over, may obtain the concessionary fare.

November 2011: Oxford Tube stated: "As part of the Government's spending review last October, it was announced that the half price coach travel scheme for senior citizens and the disabled would end after 31 October 2011. We are pleased to annouce that from 1 November we will be extending our discount for students and young persons to senior citizens and the disabled. This offers a 20-25% discount on adult single and return prices. Free local travel from Oxford to Lewknor or Hillington to London for English National Concessionary pass holders remains unaffected by the Government's review."
