The 9th Abingdon Appleton Cub Scouts is a vibrant Pack based in Appleton village.

We meet on Tuesday evenings from 6.15pm until 7.45pm.

Open to boys and girls between the ages of 7.5 and 10.5, we meet for fun, games, and to plan adventures, and more.

We are one of the most active, fun filled Cub packs in Oxfordshire.

At present we have around 20 members.

Cub Scouting is great fun with lots of different activities to try and enjoy such as exploring and trekking, building shelters in woods, map reading, cooking, bicycle repairs and arts and crafts.  Each activity once completed means that Cubs will be awarded a badge which can be added to their uniform.

Appleton Cub Scouts also get to go on exciting trips and days out, to places like Abingdon Police station, Osney Golf driving range, as well as visits to neighbouring pack First Longworth.  They also get to go to Cub Camp in the summer with the rest of the Pack. Camping is great fun with loads of activities. This year the Cub Camp is a weekend in Youlbury, Oxford, and over the summer term we will be having trips to RAF Brize Norton, Hillend Outdoor Centre, and Abingdon Fire Station.
