Gardening Club
The Appleton and Eaton Gardening Club
This Club was formed many years ago and is probably one of the oldest organisations in the village. If you are interested in growing flowering plants and/or vegetables, in a large space or a small back yard, membership of the Club will enhance your gardening knowledge and provide a social outlet to make new friends. You will also have access to a fund of expertise and inspiration through our regular winter lecture series and through informal contacts with other members. At our plant sales, you will be able to purchase plants at very keen prices, and we also offer opportunities for organised garden visits during the summer.
Garden Club members have free admission to our meetings, and can join in our many activities. For example, each September we organise the Appleton Village Show, a major event of the Appleton calendar and chance for our members – and other residents – to show off their horticultural (and other) skills. We also have an annual discounted order of seeds and potatoes to a major supplier.
The annual subscription is just £5. Why not join us? For further details, contact one of the Committee Officers listed below. Alternatively, just come along to our next meeting, where you will be most welcome.
