Firework Party Photographs
The patience of the crowd and dampness of the evening was suddenly broken by a totally unexpected sound. From atop a viewing mound a visage of the Queen and a guitarist wreathed in smoke appeared and shattered the quiet. Sean Kirkpatrick, emulating Brian May on the roof of Buckingham Palace in 2002, played his electronic guitar for a few, all too short, minutes to acclamation and cries of “More, more . .” from the crowd; a stroke of genius. More would have been very welcome.
