JUDO IN APPLETON
For over 20 years Jim and Maureen Lambert have been training young people in the art of Judo in Appleton. Based at the Appleton Village Hall on Fridays during term time, they welcome any child aged six years and upwards.
• 5:30 to 6:30 is a session for six year-olds upwards and junior Judo
• 6:30 to 7:30 is a session for more advanced exponents of the art
There is a charge for the sessions and those interested should contact Maureen Lambert for further information.
All children are graded and there are examinations every three months. Split into Junior and senior sections there are Red, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue and Brown in each age section. A Black Belt can only be achieved for someone over the age of 16.
Each participant is given a Judo Licence record book and this document records grading information for each person.
Appleton Judo is affiliated to the British Judo Association.
Summer Judo School
Jim and Maureen also organise a three day (mornings only) Summer School and the dates will be announced shortly. It should be noted this Summer School is only available to current club members.
