01 June Tennis Update
Junior Fun Day & Tournament- Sunday 24th June 2012 at 2.30pm at the tennis club - Please note the start time!
Calling all 5 - 18 year olds! This tournament is for you.Yes, it is unfortunately the same day as the Appleton School Fete so we have delayed the start of the tournament so you can enjoy both events. Meet at the tennis club and matches will be played at the club and on the Dick's and Batstones court. After the finals you will be able to use the swimming pool at the Dick's house providing your parents are in attendance to supervise your swimming. Refreshments are available. We do need adults to help with the organisation so please encourage your parents to volunteer. The entry form is attached and this should be returned to Adrian Willett. The club would like to thank the Dick's and the Batstones for all their hospitality, as always.
Ladies Fun Night - Tuesday 26th June 2012, 6pm at the tennis club
Calling all lady players! Please come and join in our Fun Night at the club. It is a doubles tournament with a handicapping system. (Partners can be arranged) Everyone brings a plate of food to share and great fun is had by all until darkness descends. Non members are welcome to join in too. The details are attached.
Tennis Club BBQ at The Plough starting at 12 noon on Sunday 1st July 2012
This is the rearranged date for the BBQ. Thanks to Matt and Sophie for allowing us to hold this in their garden. Do come along, it is an ideal opportunity to meet other club members. Guests are more than welcome.
Mixed Fun Tournament & Social Event for Adults on Sunday 10th August 2012 starting at 10am
We trust that many of you will be interested in this new event. It will be a fun, social event and we would like to see adult membes of all standards come along and join in. Everyone is welcome. Partners will be sorted out on the day. Everyone is asked to bring a plate of food to share and there will be an entry fee of £1 to cover the cost of the balls. So that we have a rough idea of how many members are interested please email Alison Jackson at alisonhm.jackson@btinternet.com if you intend to join in the fun.
