Charity Kayaking: Plough 29th April!
On Thursday evening 29th April the team Kayaking the Thames in aid of Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research will be in The Plough in the evening enjoying their Fish and Chips and collecting for the charity!
On Wednesday the 28th of April, a team will be making its way to the source of the River Thames in preparation for an epic journey of Pain, Pleasure and Paddling! The team aims to Kayak the River Thames from its source near Cirencester in Wiltshire to Windsor - a total of 114 miles! On Thursday the 29th, the team will begin by making a ceremonial visit to kiss the Thames Head-Stone whilst our BIG RED BELL BOAT is launched by the support team at Cricklade - the first navigable point on the river Each day, the team aims to cover approximately 30 miles, camping on the river bank at night.
The Team members are: Oliver King, Jonathan Little, Huw Williams, Nico Marshall Lee, Charlie McEwen, Oliver Pugh, Dave Connerly, Ali Wallace, James Whatley, Jenni Meeson

A small, single seater Kayak will be used to collect money from other river users and members of the public along the route. Your support would be greatly appreciated, whether that be through a donation or by cheering us on from the river bank, we need your help - WE NEED YOUR MONEY!!!! Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.

So please dig deep and donate now.
Many Thanks Ollie and the Team
