Marcus Hodge and Help for Heroes

 

Friday 12th November at 7:00pm: Marcus was interviewed on BBC Radio 4's Front Row Programme together with the 3 Rilfes Commanding Officer Col Nick Kitson Radio 4 Marcus Hodge for the link and fast forward to 13.50 for the piece with Marcus (until 22.55)

 

Appleton villager, Marcus Hodge, was commissioned to paint a portrait to mark the end of 3 Rifles Battle Group action in Helmand Province, Afghanistan.

In late February and early March 2010 Marcus visited Helmand and spent 10 days with the troops at FOB Jackson, going out on patrol with them into Sangin market to research the painting. His diary is on the website see Marcus Hodge Helmand Diaries
