Mobile Library
The Mobile Library comes to Appleton fortnightly on Thursdays: 2:45pm - 3:45pm
The mobile library visits Appleton every month. It can be found outside the village shop in Eaton Road fortnightly on a Thursday afternoon between 2.45pm and 3.45pm. The library is surprisingly spacious inside and full of books from floor to ceiling, as well as displaying a range of popular videos, which can be hired for a small fee for two weeks at a time. There is a good selection of books for pre-school and school age children at one end and at child height. The library has some large print books, a good selection of fiction titles as well as some more specialist non-fiction books, including titles on country living, gardening, cookery and local history. Books can be ordered so even best sellers and newly published titles can be obtained for a small fee. The staff manning the mobile library are both friendly and helpful - providing an excellent service for readers of all ages.
Full information on this service is given on the Oxfordshire County Council Library Service website.
