Crime information During the month this is what has happened in the Cumnor, Appleton, Eaton, Farmoor, Wytham, Hinksey and Botley. In the Cumnor area there was a burglary of a property at an address in Oxford Road. A possible offender has been arrested in relation to this. A Micro-excavator was stolen from Appleton. In the Marcham and Wootton neighbourhood there was a distraction burglary at a property in Besselsleigh Road, Wootton. Please be aware of any persons claiming to be from the water board or similar services. Ask for identification and if you are still unsure call us on 999. Please do not let people into your house unless you are sure they are genuine. We have increased our patrols in all areas and are checking anyone acting suspiciously.

There was a burglary in Marcham for which an offender has been arrested and charged .

If you can assist us with information of any of the above incidents please call 08458 505 505.

On a general note, please be vigilant of any suspicious individuals, and ensure that your property is secure and there are no valuables on display in your vehicle. Always call us immediately if you are unsure as crime is low in our area and we all want to keep it that way.

Neighbourhood Priorities Your Neighbourhood Action Group (NAG) Two new objectives set by the police are: Car Crime and Anti social behaviour.

The NAG will be looking at its main priority which is bad parking, and will be focusing on other issues in the area.

If you would like to become involved with your NAG and help to solve local issues, please contact your neighbourhood team on 08458 505 505.

If you are interested in joining neighbourhood watch by becoming a co coordinator or joining the community messaging scheme please call 08458 505 505.

Good news stories PCSOs Lisa Prime and Andy McCormack attended a Neighbourhood Watch Coordinators meeting of local residents at the Scout Hut Arnolds Way Cumnor where issues were discussed regarding how they thought the scheme was going. We have also held these meetings at Cumnor and Appleton and are trying to encourage more people to join the scheme. We will be holding future meetings at Botley and North Hinksey.

As a team we have been pleased with the input received from those that do attend our "Have Your Say" surgeries, but would still like to encourage more people to use this tool it has the potential to become an even stronger tool for the public and us, the neighbourhood team. Please see the dates below:
