We are sad to report the death of James (Jim) Daddy. The Service of thanksgiving for his life is to take place at St.

Appleton Play Space Ideas Day - Saturday 13th March

The Playground and Recreation Area Group are holding a fun 'ideas Day' on Saturday March 13th at the village hall from 10am until 12 noon.

Millway Lane: 15th to 30th March 2010: Major road works

The VWHDC will be working on Millway Lane entrance from 15th to 30th March, laying a new underground drainage pipe.

Litter Pickers in the Parish: Tremendous job

Littler Collectors have, we estimate, collected nearly 90 bags of litter and 20 tyres and assorted objects! Great effort! And the Vale collected the piles on Monday 8th March!

Mo Alner receives Vale's "Unsung Hero Award"

Mo Alner of Whites Forge was presented with an “Unsung Heroes of the Vale” Award at a luncheon held in the Guildhall Abingdon on Saturday 6th March 2010.

TV Reception poor in the parish?

In mid-february the Oxford Mail revealed hundreds of TV viewers were experiencing problems receiving ITV, Channel Four and Five because of planned engineering works to the mast.
