At Wootton Pharmacy, we aim to provide a high standard of healthcare. Your health is important and our staff are here to give you the best possible advice. In order to get the correct information to give you appropriate advice, it is likely that our Pharmacist, or one of staff, may need to ask you some questions regarding who the patient is, their symptoms and if any action has been taken so far.
As part of our dispensing process, a computerised record is kept of the items dispensed to you. This enables our Pharmacist to validate that the medication prescribed is suitable and matches what you are expecting. This also helps in checking for any interactions between drugs and possible side effects. This service is completely confidential and complies with the Data Protection Act 1998. If you wish to have access to your patient records, please speak to our Pharmacist who will be happy to help.
How we can help you
As well as dispensing your prescriptions and giving advice on over-the-counter medicines, there are a number of other ways in which our Pharmacist and staff can help you look after your health.
- Repeat Prescription Collection Service We can often arrange to collect your repeat prescription from your doctor's surgery and have it dispensed and ready for you to collect. Please ask for details.
- Emergency Supplies In an emergency, our Pharmacist may be able to help you with a sufficient amount of your prescription medication to tide you over until you can see your doctor. Please speak to our Pharmacist: a charge may be made for this service.
