APPLETON PLAYERS

The Appleton Players was formed in 1981 and comprise a group of people in the parish who have a love of the theatre. The productions have been: -

1981 The Dear Departed by Stanley Houghton (A nervous beginning with a one act play)
1982 Annie Moore by Harvey Dunkley Another one act play followed by a performance by The Appleton Handbell Ringers
1983 Old Time Music Hall compiled by Pauline Low
1984 The War Years compiled by Pauline Low
1984 Trial By Jury by Gilbert & Sullivan Performed in conjunction with The Baretzi Opera Company
1985 A Mediterranean Cruise by Mo Alner
1985 An Autumn Evening of Drama & Music compiled by Mo Alner
1986 The Golden Garter Saloon by Harvey Dunkley
1986 A Christmas Extravaganza compiled Mo Alner
1987 Broadway by Jo Blenkinsop (This show sadly never went into production as two weeks before first night the Appleton Village Hall suffered a disastrous fire)
