Playground grant is confirmed safe!
We are delighted to announce that today we received confirmation of our Playbuilder Grant being safe! This is a final decision and we will definitely be receiving the full £47,000.
After the massive community effort which went into getting this grant, this news brings huge relief and excitement to everyone involved. As many bodies offering future grants prefer to 'match fund' this also opens many doors for us to apply for more funding.
With the current climate and the possible tough times ahead for everyone we hope that the playground will be a great morale boost for all - giving the children somewhere free and healthy to play as well as a meeting place for the whole parish.
We are meeting with Playbuilder very soon, within the next two weeks, to set out a timeline and concrete plans to get Appleton it's playground asap!
