This traditional village pub in the lovely village of Appleton has so much to offer those seeking what it used to be like when pubs where pubs in the heart of the community, with three rooms, a cosy snug, a front bar and dining room as well as two real fires ... hmmm!

We offer wholesome and hearty home made fare.

Lunch from 12 mid-day to 2:00pm (except Tuesdays) with "Traditional", and not so traditional, Sunday roasts.

Evening meals 6:00pm to 9:00pm Wednesdays to Saturdays

Thursday evenings is Fish & Chip Night (Fresh fish in real ale beer batter and chips all wrapped in paper. Eat in or take away just £5 and we now offer gluten-free battered fish!)

Functions, dinner parties up to 20 can be catered for.

The Plough Inn Coffee Shop is open from 10am Monday to Friday for those interested in an espresso or cappuccino & Danish with the morning papers.

Other offerings are a very large garden for you and your family with an Aunt Sally pitch for your use and a recently refurbished children's play area which is now enclosed for safety.

Bed and Breakfast is also available and rates are £50 per couple or £35 for single. We are just a short walk to the Thames and only 10 minutes to Oxford.
