Plough Pub 2011
| Plough under new management from 11th April 2011 and closed from that date until Friday 29th April 2011 for major refurbishments. |
Andre and Heidi will leave The Plough and hand over to Matt Sydenham and daughter Sophie Sydenham on Monday 11th April 2011. The pub with then be closed for a refurbishment until the Royal Wedding tea party on Friday 29th April, when there will also be a hog-roast in the evening to celebrate the opening.

Lunch from 12 mid-day to 2:00pm (except Tuesdays) with "Traditional", and not so traditional, Sunday roasts. Lunch menu Evening meals 6:00pm to 9:00pm Wednesdays to Saturdays (Saturday night is Schnitzel Night)See Evening menu and Schnitzel details Thursday evenings (from 5:00pm to 9:00pm) is Fish & Chip Night (Fresh fish in real ale beer batter and chips all wrapped in paper. Eat in or take away just £5 - and we offer gluten-free battered fish!) Pies from the Plough! In a rush or too busy to cook? Why not pop in for a home made pie? Evening Entertainment! Scrabble Musical Soiree Quiz Nights |
Scrabble: Join us for Scrabble on a Tuesday evening: it’s warm and cosy here. Musical Soirees held every second Friday of the month. Just bring any instrument and an enthusiastic singing voice. Quiz Nights: starting Saturday 6th November 2010 at 8.30pm’ish. Every fortnight during winter, Teams of 4 £1.p.p entry: Do you have what it takes? Bonus questions for rollover. Obviously the more the merrier. Not just questions but Pictionary rounds, music rounds, smell and taste rounds. Not an ordinary quiz night! |
Large Garden, Aunt Sally pitch and Children's Play area
Other offerings are a very large garden for you and your family with an Aunt Sally pitch for your use and a recently refurbished children's play area which is now enclosed for safety.
Bed and Breakfast
Bed and Breakfast is also available and rates are £50 per couple or £35 for single. We are just a short walk to the Thames and only 10 minutes to Oxford.
