Appleton Pre School Ruby Anniversary
Appleton Village Pre-School celebrated their Ruby Anniversary in September with an evening of socialising and reminiscing. 2008 marks forty years since the Pre-school first opened. Claire Barratt organised a wonderful evening, there was a collection of photos, some children's work, a DVD of the children in action and a rather amusing record book to look at. A delicious cheese and wine buffet was available to stave off hunger pangs. It was a lovely evening, attended by approximately fifty people, from the first days of Appleton Pre-school right through to the present day. Appleton Pre School's first supervisor, Valerie Cunning came to share some tales of life at the Pre-School in it's early days. The present supervisors Claire Salmon and Sarah Butler along with their team are doing a fantastic job of maintaining high standards Here's to the next forty years!
