Chairman’s Community Awards Lunch – 15 October 2011

On 15 October 2011 I will be hosting the Chairman’s Annual Community Awards Lunch at the Guildhall, Abingdon. The theme for this year’s awards is ‘Volunteering for the Vale’ and I would be very grateful if you could complete the attached form if you know of anyone that you feel should be recognised for their achievements in the local community.
Nominations can be for anyone who lives within the Vale of any age that you feel is worthy of recognition for volunteering within the local area. Please feel free to nominate as many people as you wish. It would be great to have as wide a variety of award winners as possible.
I would be grateful if you could send completed Nomination Forms, by 12 September 2011, to:
Community Awards The Chairman’s Office Vale of White Horse District Council Abbey House Abingdon OX14 3JE Or by email to: chairman@whitehorsedc.gov.uk
The Chairman’s Annual Community Awards Lunch is a fantastic opportunity to show residents of the Vale that the Council really does appreciate those who contribute to our community and, with your help, I want to recognise as many worthy residents as possible.
Should you have any queries regarding this email, please do not hesitate to contact my Assistant, Mark Hewer, on 01235 547693 or at: mark.hewer@southandvale.gov.uk.
Thank you so much and I look forward to hearing from you soon.
Best wishes
Cllr Alison Thomson Chairman of the Council
